They've broken the mold, but in a completely low-effort, unsatisfying way - just enough to generate excitement in the adult fanbase, and secure sales. You, with your money, are enabling them to continue to put out an inferior product. It is a loyal consumerism of the worst kind, and it is abhorrent on principle. They have your mind.
