>>48600668This. Pokémon peaked with the second gen remakes, and 4th gen graphics were the best. At that point there was still balance issues, but it wasn't all weather wars, speed wars, Fairies obliterating everything or shit like that, but they had fixed the worst things, like physical/special split. I still liked BW/BW2, but I hated how they they looked. The 3D Pokémon games, however, look like absolute shit and are so fucking easy and hand-holdy, not that any official Pokémon game was ever hard. I'f I HAD to choose, I'd say 7th Gen was the best 3D Pokémon, but it still had major flaws. That said, Brillian remakes might be better, but they look so fucking terrible I'm gonna skip them completeley so can't say. Sword and Shield were the first genuinely bad Pokémon games imo. First gen is almost unplayable these days, but setting aside age-related issues, I'd still rather play it for fun than SW.
