Specific times, any music, certain lighting?I tend to do the bulk of my writing on weekends, with mornings and afternoons spent sketching out planning and actual scene-writing done in evenings. Anything that I can't immediately fill offhand gets left with a temporary tag that I fill in later after bouncing ideas around with beta readers.
While I admittedly don't always practice it, I can readily vouch for writing while under a directed focus being a lot more conducive to actual progress than multitasking.
On the note of focus, I have a belated publishing of a chapter that I rolled out last night.
