>>20994272Season 1 was great when I was a kid. It had its major issues, but it nailed the Pokémon experience for me. Just wished they rewrote Surge and Sabrina...they were a bit too oafish and unpleasant in my book.
I lost interest by the time they got to the Sevii and Orange Islands. And what really got me was when Ash gave up his Pidgeot and never came back for it any time he came back to Pallet Town. All I actually remember was Lorelei, the Drowzee radio that turned Pikachu into a demon, and Ash riding around on a Lapras...which he gave up too.
The GSC series bored me to tears, but the music was great. I remember absolutely NOTHING from that series except for Whitney, but even that, only vaguely that she was a clumsy ditz and Ash lost the first round to that monster of a Miltank.
Advanced series was an absolute gem to watch, and largely because seeing May develop into something completely different from Ash and complementing his journey. As I say that though, Max, Drew, and Harley really annoyed the daylights out of me. It's honestly a wonder how May pulled me through that one. But, to the series' credit, the gym leaders were a lot of fun, too. Plus, we got to see Misty one last time when her Togepi evolved (dem feels).
Didn't bother watching DPPt or BW series AT ALL. All I know is...Dawn happened, and then Iris, Cynthia, and that massive prick Paul. And right now, I just enjoy XY for the hijinks, shenanigans, and spaghetti moments. As for the lattermost, I follow it very casually. I haven't seen many of the episodes because of Jewtube policies, crappy quality, and dubs.
So that's Pokémon: the Animated Series for me.
