>>50935620I mean that's pretty much covered in the fantastical bits that I brought up. All Pokémon have fantastical abilities but all of them also exist within a framework that contextualizes them in a specific way.
Also the PMD example is interesting due to the imagery used. I've never played the games but was looking at the screenshots and reading up on it. Even in. game about a society of Pokemon without humans around they still incorporate certain elements and imagery into the Pokémon. Such as the way their dwellings are structured or even the fact that they all sleep in hay piles. It's a very natural image being shown so even in settings like that they still want to portray Pokémon in a certain light and things like their dwellings reflect on that.
