Dark's just my number one, and it's a pretty great type in-game.
Steel is the best defensive type bar none, and being super-effective offensively against Fairy is based.
Fighting is cool, and I enjoy IRL fighting, but a lot of Fighting-type Pokemon are kinda boring in design and type distribution.
Lastly I always pick Grass type starters, and there's plenty of non-starter Grass types I really like, but the type is so weak.
