>>40964652Nah RBY had the best pokemon designs (minimalistic, not overdesigned), most heart with their expressive sprites and was reasonably paced. It had simple yet effective gameplay, no need for "natures", "30IVS", you could get battle-ready pokemon faster. I enjoyed the monochromatic touch as well. It was fun running into a cocky rival like Gary. It stuck to Tajiri's vision for it to end at gen 1 before they turned it into a cash-cow.
And it was a complete experience of care, the anime influenced the games, and vice versa. You got to live in Pokemania, something that should happen in all gens.
The DS era doesnt even come close. Honestly, I wish you guys got the same care we did. Opinion disregarded.
