I've posted this stuff before and usually get shot down but there's actually a pretty decent discussion right here, so maybe the time was right.
I absolutely thought of Arcanine myself and also quite a few legendaries, but it would be spread around sparingly amongst them as not all of them became Fairy either so it would make sense to just add it to certain ones (and be less boring). Ho-Oh, the legendary beasts, and Arceus immediately come to mind for retyping candidates. Maybe the genies too, but that may be too blasphemous.
Some other Pokemon I thought of as being retyped were a new evolution for Meinshao (Fight/Saint), regional Oranguru based on the Buddha (Nrm/Saint), Dunsparce (also Nrm/Saint), and Galarian Ponyta line (Saint/Fairy?)
In my fan region based on New England, I've got a monotype cherub line, a Bug/Saint gypsy moth line, a Saint/Flying sphinx line, a Steel/Saint templar, a Saint/Dragon St. George's Dragon, a Saint/Psychic "space waifu" legendary, a Rock/Saint "man of the mountain" legendary, and a few others I can't recall. I tried to make it like Fairy where it was peppered in quite a bit during the region it's "introduced." Maybe I should work on a romhack...
