Beat Giovanni and the Rival battle right before Victory Road. Looking at my team, the Giovanni fight went probably about as you'd expect: "DeepBluSea used Surf!"
The rival fight was a bit harder. I was in a shit situation with the Rival's Alakazam on the field at the same time as Pod, and I felt like I couldn't switch in anything without it immediately dying, so my only play was to throw out a Sleep Powder and hope it connected; of course, it didn't, and Pod got instantly erased by Alakazam. That at least let me switch in Legion for the easy OHKO.
We're now onto our FOURTH Bellsprout named Groot, to reflect the truest horror of all... the horror of modern cinema.
After I catch him up to speed, we'll go through Victory Road.
>>48612865Fair enough, good luck with the new marathon! Love the Beedrill lmao
>>48612678Tough luck, my advice with these Autismlockes is to not worry too much about saving Pokemon for future runs, and just make due with what you've already caught. Especially since Nidoking is arguably at the peak of his power in Gen I due to how Fissure works. However, I would recommend saving the Pokemon that get future new evolutions and will benefit later from the physical/special split. I mean, Gyarados is a beast either way, but it gets insane in Gen IV
