Seafoam Islands was fun to explore, some items--big woop. Pokemon Mansion--again, a botched catch attempt meant no Grimer. Squad Leader and Mizde got to enjoy slaughtering Blaine's flames.
There was no Sevii Island side-quest. Moving on--oh, wait, decided to spritz up on Max Repels to snag the Kanton Moltres for good luck.
Enzam, Domi, and Fio got to join in on the 'Viridian Violence', and the penultimate Rival encounter was an afterthought--even if Squad Leader clutched not dying to Psychic to rip ANOTHER Alakazam apart with his bare hands.
