Despite Blaziken "going over" Charizard in the anime and Charizard disappearing from the spotlight for a long time, people still like it. It got voted in that IGN poll (total of 14 million votes) as the #1 with Mewtwo as #2 before the megas even got announced. Then you get shit like this when it comes to his cards.

I can remember a poll ran by IGN just before Gen 6 was released. Amusingly, Charizard came in 1st with Mewtwo 2nd. Think it had like a million or so votes too. Looking back, both of them receiving 2 megas each wasn't so farfetched.

Can't really blame GF for pushing it so much when people want it shoved down their throats.
