At this point, for the past couple generations actually, the mainline series of games have just been a means to push merchandise sales since those make several times more money. They don't give a fuck about innovating the gameplay mechanics, interactions in-game, or the graphics, it's all just to introduce new characters to sell as plushies and figurines for dumb faggot tourists to go drop $5000 each trip they take to Japan every month. It's all so fucking tiresome and depressing watching this beaten horse's corpse be ground into the dirt for the nth time, with our eyelids taped open to force us to watch it again and again.
