He enters the mirror like someone entering a swimming pool in slow motion, he just sort-of dives in. The mirror begins to ripple, and soon enough, your reflection returns, back to the way it should be.
Melac looks much happier now, exactly like you. Maybe that's all the compensation he was looking for, perhaps?

The Mime Jrs perform a little dance in recognition of you bypassing what you assume was a great test of maturity...or something. They all hug Alice goodbye before heading back into the cave to live out their mimey little lives.
