I'm reccing 'burning down the sky' on deviantart, it's about 200 pages, the story's just a more fleshed out soul silver but the art is kino as hell.
Also Burning Bridges. Short but the secret is in the side comics. The world building is at Alternity's level, and the starter/trainer relationship is as heartwarming as you can get. Kanto is Ireland by the way.

Chiaki's nuzlocke (almost complete, the epilogue is being worked on.)
Nessa's emerald (hyper realistic pokemon, great story, great characters)
And Nikki's ruby. (Part of the first wave of nuzlocke comics, at the elite four right now. Hilairous. Really hits it's stride around page 50)
