Trevenant kicks things into overdrive pretty fast. The initial wave of rocks is swiftly dodged by both Pumpkaboo and Phantump, but this only pushes the elder tree to force more and more waves, effectively spamming the move until the duo take a fierce hit. After three waves, Pumpkaboo finally takes one.
"C-Chaaaaa!"
>Pumpkaboo flinched!A good sized rock manages to donk Pumpkaboo in right in the noggin, taking a chunk of health away and leaving her immobilized for the next turn. Phantump lets out a gasp, he makes it through wave three unscathed.
"NANT!"
"P-Phan!"
Not for long though. Desdemona calls for a quick Shadow Claw in midst of all the panic, which Trevenant carries out as soon as Rock Slide clears, Phantump squeaks as the elder tree's claws slap him around like a hasty pinball. While usually semi-competent and willing to follow orders from Serena, the fact that his child soul is at stake is more than complicating things. Serena takes note of this, and tries to push him out of it.
"Phantump, please! Snap out of your worries and dismiss any concern, that phantom feeds on insecure negativity!"
