I grew up playing Pokémon and still play Pokémon, now my daughters will start playing Pokémon soon.
I always wanted to play other stories besides the Pokémon trainer cliché. I always fantasied in playing as the bad guy or the opposite to the protagonist besides a trainer narrative....
Imagine the following;
>main protagonist (boy or girl)
>instead of heading to a poketrainer journey your path gets derailed
>you become a low level grunt
>your battle skills and cunning abilities allows you to climb the team ranks
>you take on more challenge missions almost like heist
>stealing Pokémon, or running underground laboratories for further the Pokémon research
>eventually your team/association take on the Pokémon legue
The Pokémon world has a lot of potential to be only about a boy or a girl taking on the Pokémon league.
The lore is vast and wide
