Children and specially PC are simple and moderate that just want to have fun with pokemons even if all the battles are kinda violent but we have to see it in a cartoon perspective. If healing was as easier as it is in pokemon people would risk themselves more in terms of health and push some limits besides the whole cartoon physics type of thing.
