That isn't to say though that all of the old monsters aren't "bad": my first game was tri and I was shocked to find out that Diablos wasn't a 3rd gen monster and was genuinely amazed at how much work they put into modernizing Rathian & Rathalos.
If all the 1st gen monsters got as much love as Rathian & Rathalos we wouldn't have a problem, but for some fucking reason Capcom insists that Khezu is a better Khezu than Gigginox.

I'd even welcome swimming back to go with our new MOUNTING mechanic so we can experience a fully interactable environment.
