Why just not flip over the narrative instead with him being a rough goalpost, which evolves beyond that to a more loosely-interpreted one?
I mean, wasn't the goalpost moved with Ash's bigger aim based on his progress if he won a league for example? They used Burnet to set him up for the Journey Premise, they can easily do it for another MC while still using Ash as the starting line for a goal.
Marketing is marketing I get the picture, but from how OLM is going on about it it feels as if they are reaching complacency about the whole window of Ash' and everything that's surrounding the whole setting on and off-screen right now for the staff and the show.
