The Pokédex says theyre 4.5 meters, retarded faggot. This is just Gamefreak not wanting a 4.5 meters monster in the normal battles layout, like Eternatus being 1 meter instead of 22.
Also, of course they're a new"type" of monster. They designed these to be titans, in fact Cetitan is called titan, and probably Klawf references some giant thing/mythology.
