There are of course the ugly ones too. And I don't mean ugly like a scary looking monster ugly, I mean shit like Etemon or Betsumon, ugly in a restraining order kind of way. What the hell is with the "Human wearing a fursuit onesie" Digimon designs? How is that a "monster" in anything other than the 20 to 30 years sense?
And the ones that are not like this, the popular "mascot"-like Digimon are things like Agumon, Gabumon, or Gatomon, that are more or less Pikachu levels of not looking intimidating. Gatomon is a literal kitten.
Anyone remember that Simpsons episode where Lisa snuck into the boys math class and asked Nelson what he was drawing?

Bandai on the other hand takes that mentality seriously and made a robot dragon that is literally made out of guns.... creatively named "Gundramon".
I am almost surprised it does not evolve into PlaneMadeOutOfGunsmon.... or from it.
