Rules I'm playing with:
1. Only the first Pokemon in a route can be caught. If that capture is failed, no other Pokemon can be captured.
1a (Duplicate Clause). You are given two attempts to find a Pokemon that you have not previously encountered. If on the third attempt you still have not found a new Pokemon, you must capture the third encounter.
1c (Safari Zone clause). Each zone of the Safari Zone counts as a new area. However, in that area only, you are allowed instance of the duplicate clause OR one runaway.
1d. In game trades do not count as an encounter, since it is a 1 for 1 exchange, and no net gain is made.
2. If a Pokemon faints, that Pokemon is considered dead, and must be released.
3. All Pokemon must be nicknamed.
4. Legendaries cannot be used.
5. Repels are banned from use.
6. Limited to one use of a health item (Potion and one use of a status item (Full Heal) per battle. Full Restore counts as a use of both. No limit on out of battle healing.
