The first two stages had a coal+locomotion theme going for it, but the method of locomotion improved upon Rolycoly, a single wheel, evolving into a Carkol, a minecart.
We all know Coaloassal's mouth looks like a furnace, and that design aspect is elaborated on further when it Gigantamaxes, but one can't lie and say that wheel->minecart->furnace makes more sense in terms of evolutionary progression than that of the hypothetical wheel->minecart->train, no matter how much you like the official result for its "subtlety". Fact of the matter is, people don't pompously need subtlety to enjoy a design like you do. People just want something new and fun, regardless of subtlety, which we could've got if the line stuck to its guns.
You "educate" others like you have the be-all end-all say on the matter, when that autistic wall of text is just a long-winded way to shit on the prospect of a coal train Pokemon with no objective reason to give for it. Haven't seen an argument yet that could argue against the coal train idea, honestly.
