When I come back from work/running an errand/getting groceries, he'd greet me with a wave of his hand and we'd have a brief chat about our day while he's fixing something for work tomorrow or (probably more likely) working out.
Dinner would be something simple that could be eaten on the couch in front of the TV.
I'm not much of a cook and I wouldn't expect him to be that either.
Not much conversation going on while eating, just comfortable silence along with enjoying a show we both like.
He'd jog a lot, though, and enjoy fresh air and time spent being physically active.
