Hell Iris was there and didn't even stay to watch him beat Cynthia, I find it strange that a old companion from gen 4 anime older than most of the current target audience would be the one. Hell the Alola gang is super popular relevant with the current audience and tied to ashas he is the Alolan champion. You would think at least some Alolans would fly out to show support or at least gther to eatch the match on a giant screen stadium or something seeing as how this is the match that decides whether their champion is the worlds first or second best trainer.
