Why exactly? I've seen complains about ability STAB, high SpAtk & Spd, but no encompassing arguments for the ban, nor why its very presence is a bad bad thing. Let's be honest here, it packs a punch, but that thing isn't lasting long enough to KO more than two Pokémon. Playing around the thing isn't too hard and it's too frail to survive much. Priority ruins Greninja's day unless it's physical, which is doing overall less damage.
Greninja is a coverage Pokémon that relies heavily on predictions and speed. If you aren't accustomed to playing like that, maybe you *should* try "rebelling against the accepted standard," as Smogon's "elite" have dictated against.
Or just use Landy, Robin Williams, and what have you forever because that's what is the best and everyone should use. That's fine too, they're good Pokémon and not broken, but they've been top OU Pokémon long enough to be considered overcentralizing even moreso than the glass canon in the related pic.
