Give Gym leaders either full teams or better AI
Give Gym Leaders more personality, make them part of the community like with the Trial Captains and Unovan Gym Leaders
There needs to be a sense of agency in the story. The moment Lysandre broadcasts his plans via the Holocaster, NPCs across the region should be talking about it--because no one fucking does in the games.
Either get rid of Tierno,Trevor and Shauna, or flesh them out. Like why does Tierno like dancing so much? What does Shauna want to get out of being a trainer?
Calem/Serena need to be better rivals with better AI and FOUR MOVES PER POKEMON. Like why the fuck do they have Pokemon with 2~3 moves late in the game? Inexcusable.
Those are pretty much how I'd fix X/Y. They woudn't be the perfect games but they'd at least be better
