I don't really mind the idea of syncro, but I feel they could've done more with Megas, as some Pokemon desperately need them.
I like Greninja, but Ash-Ninja is pretty unappealing, only because Greninja gets Ash's hair, if it was designed as a regular Mega and not based off of him I wouldn't be opposed.

Lucario is the definition of forced upon, Greninja doesn't even cut close, he just happens to be extremely popular.
