I ran through Battle Network just fine and never got tire of it (well, besides 4, but that just adds to my point). Good games never get old. I can go back and replay Mario 3 or Tetris or Ms. Pac Man any day. I can stomach yet another replay of GSC. Why? Good games have lasting appeal.
Sure, there is such a thing as burnout, but the 3DS game are pretty much designed with the idea that kids rather be playing with their phones than playing a boring RPG. So they give us more plot and less freedom and fans are left wondering why they struggle to get through games despite loving the series.
It's not you. It's not me. It's Gamefreak. Moon was the first 3DS Pokémon I finished (mostly because I forced myself to, my sister gifted it to me). These new games just suck.
