>/vp/ shitters think somehow this means Talonflame won't be everywhere like it is currently
Do you people not understand the concept of switching out? What do you think Talonflame does already versus its counters like Tyranitar, Landorus-T, Banded Dragonite, Hippowdown, etc? It switches out.
Talonflame has lower attack than an Amoonguss, is 4x weak to Stealth Rock, and mediocre stats likely to be found on a UU shitmon. Yet 120 BP priority is so good that it's OU in spite of these weaknesses.
Bisharp and Weavile are OU even though they're 4x weak to Mach Punch, a move that has batter distribution than an exclusive signature move. Landorus-T is the most used Pokémon in OU currently and Garchomp is still near the top even though Ice Shard exists.
And your shitmon bug bro isn't getting any worse because it exists. Volcarona is UU right now and it will still be UU. Even though it does well in OU given the proper setup, you still have to switch out versus its checks/counters like Banded Azumarill and Sand Rush Excadrill. Lycanroc isn't a special case in terms of being a mon that ruins your sweep.
You faggots should be excited about an offensive Rock type that is most definitely getting access to Stealth Rock, Rock Polish, and Morning Sun, and how it will be able to function so well in OU like Terrakion did in gen 5 since Rock is an incredible offensive typing, but all that ever comes out of it is TALONFLAME IS FUGGED WAH MUH NU BUGBRO
