XY was fantastic, it's battles and shounen vibe were the highlights of the entire anime franchise so far, SM has been amazing for goofy characters and establishing Alola as a region, stop listening to your 16 year old mind telling you that you can't like more than one thing for what they are and just enjoy what we fucking had/have, and if you don't then just ignore it
