Here's mine (just happened ten minutes ago and I'm still shaking):
I'm on X version and I'm horde shiny hunting. After 30 mins I do the old sweet scent and walk away to put away dishes, not even looking at the encounter. I come back and I look at the screen to just make sure I found no shinies, turns out I found a shiny Yanma (cool as fuck shiny). I'm battling the regular Yanmas and I see a zapped Boost activate, it's the shiny! Only one that's got the ability! I catch it easily quickly save and close the ds quickly. When I picked up the ds again I accidentally ejected the game cartridge, I was freaking out that I lost my shiny because I forgot I saved. I checked and I still have it. I check its nature...Timid! I legit found a shiny, Timid Yanma by pure chance!
