About point 2, IIRC at the time Gouging Fire hadn't been revealed yet, but the rumor that it was a triceratops was already running strong for whatever reason, maybe leakers' hints. And our common conception of a triceratops is a slow bulky creature. But this thing definitely looks like it can "gallop"; I'd argue it looks slightly more agile than Entei itself, even despite its Speed stat is slightly lower.
And in regards to point 1, the overarching Lucius/Rakua plot already moved onto the next arc while still open. Now we're going to enter Paldea at full force, with a formal introduction to the school, Terastallization, teachers, director, Geeta etc. and with the Brave Asagi stranded we're set to spend a while here. Eventually the topic will move onto the Great Crater - and paradoxes. So an encounter with Lucius' "Entei" serving as introduction to paradoxes is still in the table.
Not trying to shove this as an absolute truth, just suggesting an idea. It would be an interesting twist IMO.
