>>23319120>>23319146I remember when i used to live in Sacramento, nearly all my friends played Pokemon. When R/S came out, everyone chose either Treecko or Mudkip. Three years later, in the advent of D/P i moved to Olympia, and the same thing happened there: every single person i knew that still played pokemon had also gone Sceptile or Swampert. I literally hadn't seen anyone in real life or the internet care about KFC much. It's hilarious because two friends that got into competitive during late B/W that had previously had Sceptile as their starter suddenly starter caring more about Blaziken. Which is curious, because Speed Boost was revealed around that time.
Two years ago, i moved to Beanerland and even there nobody liked Blaziken, though i'm guessing that it's because they don't even play Pokemon here and their opinion stems from the anime or some shit like that.
Though i chose Sceptile, i DO like KFC. But i've never seen as much love for it as what the internet seems to imply. At least from personal experience.
