Some Pokémon are going to be the Ryu, Ken, Cammy, Chun, and Dhalsim of Pokémon. All but guaranteed to be in almost every game. And even they aren't in one game, they will certainly be in the next or even DLC. Some other Pokémon will suffer the fate of characters like Hugo, Alex, Q, or Sodom. They will come back once every three games or something, if you're lucky. I should know, my favourite character in all of SF is Alex, and he's guaranteed not in SF6 whenever that comes. Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li? Yeah. They're here to stay.
