>>41479595>Game is rushed af after opalMore like massively incomplete, and it begins even before then. Feel like it was the fire gym that I said 'why the fuck is this gym's gimmick just plain ass wild battles?' and then I knew there were going to be other 'gyms' just like it because this game was slapped together quickly with minimal staff. Opal's gym is just plain ass battles with a pointlessly tacked on quiz. Pier's area wasn't even a gym or a town -- it's one of the most embarrassingly half-assed things thrown in this game and yet perfectly fitting for how underwhelming and pointless Team Yell was. The fucking final gym is just a few easy double battles, and that's it.
One of the most hilarious things I also noticed to cap it all off was there was a 'cutscene' near the end after you beat Rose's secretary that jarringly transitioned to a slideshow of grainy still images of the 3D models because Gamefreak couldn't be arsed to model the city view from atop the tower that's shown. Everything about this game was halfbaked -- it was just a pokemon hallway from start to end. No real dungeons. No side areas or altering paths. No puzzles/mazes outside a couple gyms. Not even any fully-realized antagonists, just a few rushed asspulls to bring out the three lengendaries. Barebones is putting it lightly.
