I'm a sucker for Pokemon based off folklore, and Yuki-onna are among the most interesting youkai thematically. Ice/Ghost is also just too great a typing thematically, and I thought they nailed it here. I think it also captures this idea of ice being this beautiful, almost ethereal, substance, a concept few other ice types manage to capture.
