Somewhat related, but what about when it comes to Pokemon like Geodude, where it's a pain to get to its final stage? Does this put you off actually using one on your in-game team?
Currently playing through SS, and I wanted to use a Geodude for once (coming up against Falkner), but I have no way to get Golem so it kind of feels pointless. Maybe I shouldn't just gotten a romhack...
