Raging Bolt is a great example. We get an iffy 2 second clip as our first taste, and it looks odd. Then we see the art, and it's actually a sick design.
That said, the simultaneity of the new reveals has a lot of benefits. But Gen 5 reveals in particular were so exciting, and seeing those pages laid out online was a special experience. Imagine going to the konbini to get a copy for your first glimpse.
