Had to run from the Sudowoodo after it spent its first three turns nearly killing my entire team. The Stantler I found for my Route 39 encounter decided to do the same thing (except I actually caught it) and every encounter since then has just made it sting all the more lol.
Also adjusted the ruleset to be more forgiving because I found that 5 encounters just isn't enough for a shiny most of the time
and my encounter luck is so bad that it hasn't mattered much anyways.
Grateful that I lost a third of my team right BEFORE the level curve made any possibility of grinding up new members borderline masochistic to do. If this shit happens again I'm just going to cheat in rare candies for it. The sheer amount of hours it takes to grind up just two new members in Johto should be banned under international law and the sacrifice in EVs is worth saving half a day of fighting wild encounters.
