>>58575017Feraligatr was never good. It doesn’t feel like a natural progression for the Totodile line. The problem is that unlike the other Water starters, it doesn’t have a theme. Blastoise is like a firefighter that shoots water out of its cannons. Empoleon is an emperor; Primarina is a singer; Inteleon is a secret agent with biological gadgets; Quaquaval is a carnival dancer. Feraligatr is just a generic alligator that bites stuff and that’s it. There’s nothing that makes it stand out. They had the chance to make a proper final evolution for Totodile back in Gen 2 by building off of Croconaw’s caveman motif, but instead we just got “Totodile but bigger”. No mega evolution would look good for this Pokemon because it’s just a shit design from the get-go.
