Thing is, even if it's not the greatest, it's by people complaining about it that Game Freak gets the wrong idea and starts dumbing this kind of thing down even though it's pretty much the franchise's only hope of being fresh again.
If they can build on the foundation built by games like BW and SuMo without walking everything back in the following game then they could truly become something special again, even if it's in a different way than the original RBY.
