(un)Fortunately, after a bit of grinding Ledyba learns Comet Punch, which, while having 85% accuracy and a random damage cap, will always deal as much damage as Tackle, meaning that presuming RNG stays on my side, it's just barely the better option.
Fortunately, RNG was on my side for the Falkner fight. I got a fair few crits against Pidgeotto, and if I didn't get all of them I probably would have lost. It's nice knowing that this is probably the easiest this run will ever be.
