I liked this design for the swan from a few threads back, but it's not starter-y at all. Maybe mix this with
>>20973377 since the latter has the opposite problem, in that it is much too detailed and resembles empoleon quite a bit design-wise and flavor-wise (uses it's wings as shields, has extentions from it's beak, lots of black and blue).
