I tend to get drawn to male protag ships for some reason (Gold with just about anyone, Ruby with Gold/Red, Diamond with X, Black with Red, Nate with Black/Gold, etc.), maybe because they tend to have the strongest headcanons to me.
I also like cute pairings though. Wish I could find more male XY breeder/fisherman art. It'd be amazing to see them in some pairings too.
Gen 6 gave us so many good NPCs of both genders.
