20th anniversary game should have been a spare-no-expenses third version of Kalos with a longer story a la Emerald/Platinum and a more comprehensive post-game instead of a rushed as all fuck completely new region with ugly-ass unfinished looking models.
Hell they could have even added in Z-moves and just change the lore to be that Zygarde's awakening turned all Type gems into Z-crystals that not only boost the power of offensive moves but also add effects to status ones.
