Is a 1.3x boost to it's main STAB Fairy moves. Doesn't sound like much? You'd be wrong to think it didn't matter.
Xerneas normally sits on base 131 attack and special attack, which to be fair, sounds like pipsqueak shit in ubers. With Fairy Aura factored in, that jumps to the equivalent of base 192 attack and special attack when it uses a Fairy move, which is just 2 measly special attack points off of the strongest natural special attack in the game, Mega Mewtwo-Y, and eclipses Mega Mewtwo-X's 191 attack.
And THEN you can still put things like Choice Scarf, Life Orb, etc. to boost that even further.
And THEN there's Geomancy.
And EVEN THEN you have excellent bulk with enormous HP and Aromatherapy. It's effectively the strongest pokemon in the entire game from turn one, because even Kyogre can have a different weather ruin the effectiveness of its attacks. The only thing standing in Xerneas's was are extremely bulky resists, another Xerneas and fucking Zygarde.
