at least that's how it is for me and thus talking about pokemon, or even mentioning it, with them constantly revolves the fact that every thing after gen1 is bullshit and that GF should've just stopped
at least that's the reason for me complaining about genwunners the thing I hate most on this board is shit being taken too far. Genwunner threads are only so funny/anger inducing for a while; then it starts to get obnoxious. Same thing with anything else. I for one enjoy showderp, but I really only go in it once in a blue moon. Any other /vp/ culture stuff I tolerate because, who cares. It's a part of the goddamn board.
People always complain about it and about how they want the board to focus "more on pokemon related subjects" but it's just like, take away all everything you think is crap and what do you have? I mean, don't get me wrong I love pokemon and I very much enjoy talking about it, but taking away all the jokes this board has pretty much leaves you with nothing after a while. Most of the threads you would find tolerable can only be posted so often without it getting bland quickly.
tl;dr /vp/ is shit, but that's what makes it /vp/
