Definitely heading straight for the league. I’d start with a trusty Eevee, make my initial quest to catch a few more Pokémon and find a Water Stone, and train every day until I collected a handful of badges.
Once I landed about 3~5 badges, I’d take a year or so off just to study EVs/IVs and the intricacies of real-world breeding. If possible at that point I’d try and breed one or two perfect offsprings from the team that I had, I’d even be willing to set aside another year or two to raise my Sneasel’s or Ampharos’s son/daughter to be a powerhouse, then dive back into the league challenge with a juiced-up team.
Once I’m champion I’ll just retire to a nice villa in Sinnoh, vacationing in Alola and Galar and appearing biannually in PWT and the occasional Pokémon Professor talk shows.
