>>52581740>>52581718I once went to a regionals in Virginia where a man was using a Dusclops/Drifblim lead where the clops with helping hand the blim into a normal gem explosion (ORAS, even clops wasnt as common at the time). Some guy was salty he lost to this and so I overheard him talking to his friend about it. Next round I'm paired against a man who, lo and behold, has a Drifblim and Dusclops both on his team. I take a chance and double protect turn 1, and he does exactly as the guy before said and saccs his Drifblim into my double protect. I felt bad for the man, but its also a strat that isn't exactly bulletproof even with the suprise factor, but even so thay word of mouth gave me such an unfair advantage it's not even funny. I could very well see some poor schmuck doing something like this and terastilizing into a hail mary and the suprise factor makes or break the strat. Personally, I feel like that suprise Bo1 type strat would be agknowladged in the meta and prepped for eventually, but I can understand wanting to prevent something like what happened to me.
